Farah has been engaged in part-time consultancy as a Gender Equality Adviser for Global Affairs Canada (GAC). Farah has also completed during April 2024 thorough context analysis and mapping for Feminist Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Local Women’s Rights Organizations (WROs) for Lebanon and Jordan under the leadership of the International Rescue Committee (IRC) leading the IGNITE consortium at Headquarters level. Farah was additionally appointed by Expertise France (AFD Group) as a Gender Mainstreaming Consultant for Shabake 2 project, where she led the gender capacity plan for the team.
Farah worked as Gender Adviser for Haretna Consortium with the Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) in Beirut, where she led the Gender Strategy and Action Plan, designed and socialized the Rapid Gender Analysis (RGA) toolkit and training package, and chaired NRC's D&I Committee. Earlier to her full-time position, Farah was appointed as a Gender Expert by InfoPro (Gender Equality & Empowerment Measurement Tool Pilot for Mercy Corps' 3amaly project, and a National Consultant by the Impact Team (Generation Gender Mid-Term Evaluation).
Farah enhanced the USAID Monitoring & Evaluation Program for Lebanon (MEPL) in her capacity as a Gender, Youth, & Inclusion Officer for EnCompass LLC, and shifted to consultancy work later, where she conducted with UN Women 25 impactful training sessions for the Ministry of Social Affairs (MoSA) staff as part of the National Poverty Targeting Program (NPTP), led by WFP (World Food Program), and then spearheaded the evaluation of the partnership between IRC and LUPD (Lebanese Union for People with Physical Disabilities) by the end of 2022.
Farah served as a Gender Equality Adviser Consultant with Save the Children, Canada, promoting gender equality integration, shaping SCC's Gender Equality Strategy and roadmap, and advancing gender-responsive and transformative practices.
Farah was the country Gender & Disability Inclusion Specialist for Save the Children in Lebanon, applying the gender and inclusion lens to policies and multi-year strategic plans, authoring a pivotal gender analysis report during COVID-19, founding the Diversity & Inclusion Taskforce, seamlessly integrating gender/diversity, leading the capacity strengthening strategy, and improving gender mainstreaming at design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation stages. During her tenure at Save the Children, Farah was selected as the Country Spokesperson for protection and gender-related issues.
Farah managed and oversaw the Adolescent Girls’ Programming of the IRC – WPE program in various roles. She led impactful initiatives, projects, conducted formative research, contributed to global reports, toolkits and curricula including the contextualization of the Girl Shine curriculum for Lebanon and created program achievement booklet and girls' passport of rights. Farah has also supervised the revision of the Multi-Sectoral National Child Marriage Toolkit funded and led by UNICEF and IRC. In 2019, Farah supported the 'Every Adolescent Girl Empowered and Resilient' (EAGER) project under the Leave No Girl Behind global campaign, where she conducted a full revision of the country Adolescent Girls’ Program, and delivered a tailored five-day training program in Sierra Leone.
